Treasure Map Help

I’m missing or can’t find a treasure map piece!
Talk to the Raccoon in the shop. He’ll give you tips on where to find the next piece.

The Pro Skier didn’t give me a map piece!You probably did receive it, actually – the map pieces are random, so even though you’re missing a specific piece, it could be found anywhere! Talk to the Raccoon in the shop and he’ll tell you which piece you’re actually missing.

I’ve caught fish but they aren’t being checked off in the book.You have to return the fish to the fishermen, fresh water to the east side of the lake and salt water to the Marina.

I accidentally sold the talking fish to the bear!The talking fish can’t be sold anywhere, don’t worry! It might be in your backpack, or you may have already brought the fish back to its destination. If you think you’re missing the talking fish’s map piece, you should talk with the Raccoon to make sure.

Save Game Data

I lost a little bit of progress.
The game only saves when switching areas or going to bed, so make sure to do either of those before ending your session.

I lost a lot of progress or I’m missing items.
You should load a previous saved game immediately to prevent losing your data! See ‘How do I save or load a backup?’ below. This issue can happen if you’re using multiple devices with the same iCloud account – if another device doesn’t have an internet connection when it first opens, it might start overwriting data in iCloud. The game makes lots of extra backups just in case, so you can always recover (as long as you’ve been playing with iCloud enabled and an active internet connection).

I keep losing progress on Apple TV.
Apple TV has limited local storage and must be connected to the internet to ensure your data is saved. If the device has no internet connection or iCloud is disabled/full, you could permanently lose your progress. We highly recommend having iCloud enabled.

How do I save or load a backup?
Open the blue settings book in your backpack and then press ‘Game Data’. To create a backup press the ‘Backup Now’ button, or press ‘View Backups’ to see a list of previous backups. While viewing the list of backups, you can press each one to inspect the data in each one, and you will have to go through a confirmation process before loading a backup. If there are errors, make sure you’re connected to the internet, there’s iCloud storage available, iCloud Drive is enabled and Sneaky Sasquatch has permission to backup to iCloud in your device settings.

I get an error making a backup?
Make sure you’re connected to the internet, there’s iCloud storage available, iCloud Drive is enabled and Sneaky Sasquatch has permission to backup to iCloud in your device settings.

Can I transfer saves to a different Apple Account?
It is difficult but possible with these steps:

Make a backup on the original device first (See ‘How do I save or load a backup?’ above).
Sign into the new device with the original device’s Apple Account.
Download Sneaky Sasquatch on the new device and start up the game (only play the saved-game slot(s) that you want to keep on this device).
Ensure all the data is correct. If there isn’t any data, or something is missing, you will have to load data from an older backup (using the settings book’s Game Data → View Backups list). If no data comes through at all, you may have to play a ‘new game’ slot until the Raccoon gives you the settings book again, and from there you can access the settings book’s backup list.
On the new device, sign out of the original account and sign into the new Apple Account.

What happens to my data if I cancel my Apple Arcade subscription?
Your iCloud data will remain even if you aren’t subscribed, and if you don’t have any iCloud space your local data will remain as long as you don’t uninstall the game. You can resubscribe at any time and pick up where you left off.

We can’t give an exact date, but good things come to those who wait!

Will you release Sneaky Sasquatch on other platforms?
Sneaky Sasquatch is an Apple Arcade exclusive, so it won’t be available on any other platforms.

How do I cancel my subscription to Sneaky Sasquatch?
You are not subscribed to the game, but to Apple Arcade. Instructions on how to unsubscribe to Apple Arcade are located here.

My game won’t load or it crashes on startup.Try force-quitting and reopening the app (Instructions), restarting your device and checking the App Store to make sure you’ve running on the latest version of the game. If these options don’t work, reinstalling the app should help, but make sure to backup your data in iCloud first.

I’m stuck or can’t move.Uh oh! If you’re able to open your backpack and have a map, we recommend using that to travel back to your house. Alternatively, you can wait until your Sasquatch falls asleep and travel back home that way too. If you can’t get to your backpack, don’t have a map and your Sasquatch isn’t falling asleep, please get in touch with us directly at support@rac7.com with details of where you’re stuck and we’ll be able to help you.

My game is in a different language suddenly.The game won’t change the language on its own – most likely you or someone else accidentally changed it in the settings book. If you open the blue settings book in your backpack, the language toggle is on the bottom of the right page. Use the left/right buttons to change the language back to the original setting.

Where is my bunkbed?If you have purchased the largest bed already, it takes priority and the bunkbed will not show up.

Where is my watch or running shoes?Open your backpack, and then open your disguises menu. The watch and running shoes can be toggled on and off here.
